Federal Aaron Willard (Boston, MA) shelf clock with eglomise panels, top panel with lyre motif and signed “Aaron Willard Boston.” Bottom panel with naval scene titled “Escape of the Constitution,” an event from the War of 1812. 35”H x 13”W x 6”D. Condition: splitting, and repairs to edge veneer, incl. lower right. Parts of crest reglued, appears to have the original glass in tablets.

Fine Matthew Egerton Federal Tall clock, bonnet with signature star punch motif, three gilded finials, stripe inlay, and gilded rosettes. Case with corner columns, banded and other geometric inlay. Hand painted moon phase dial. Original label on inside of door reading ”Matthew Egerton Cabinetmaker, in Burnett St, New Brunswick N.J.”. with weights, pendulum, key and winding key. 95”H, bonnet 19.5”W x 10.5”D. Condition: the case is in very good original condition with the exception of old repair work done to the feet, patch to swans neck back facing original, pierced bonnet backed with fabric some holes however wood work not damaged, dial of clock with some flaking but original paint, works restored in 2007 by The British Clockmaker, VT, see paperwork.

Condition: lined, craquelure. Under blacklight, some inpainting visible, mostly in sky and sails, to stabilize/cover craquelure. None in figures or around signature.
