This is a 'Timed to Live' sale. From now until the Live sale begins, you can place bids on lots on SmithLive.
Please beware: in order to successfully bid during the live online auction, you will need a high-speed connection. We advise bidders to leave a back up absentee bid to protect yourself in case the Internet connection is dropped during the bidding process; if you see the bid advance beyond your absentee bid you'll know that you are no longer the high bidder and can then attempt to bid again.
Also, please be aware that there are times when the bidding increments are such that the bid lands on your absentee bid amount, however, you may not be the winning bidder. This is because someone else has left a bid of the same amount and you are the "off" bid, and so you will need to bid again if you want to stay in the action.

Auction: Friday, August 5 at 10:00 AM at 5:00 PM
We are proud to present the lifelong collection of Harvey and Sandy Sussman. Harvey and Sandy, both educators, had the luxury of spending two months every summer, from 1976-to-1986, in Vermont, renting homes on Mt. Ascutney. Their day trips ranged far and wide in their quest for country Americana —early furniture, redware, samplers, and folk art. They visited all the leading shops/galleries in Vt, NH, and Maine, and even village tag sales. Having excellent taste, an acute eye, and an abundance of patience, their collection slowly took shape. Now, as they sadly told me, “it’s time to bring our collection back to where it came from.” We have added items from an old Francestown NH family to round out the auction. The sale will be displayed In the historic French House located in Plainfield NH at Smith’s Auction Gallery
