WILLIAM BURLINGAME, MID-LATE 20TH C., O/B, “ACROSS THE DIVIDE”. Signed “Will Burlingame” l.l., the reverse with gallery label denoting the artist and title. The masonite board 20” x 30”, frame 30” x 40”. Condition: Examined under UV and LED lights. In overall very good condition with a subtle and interesting mix of actual and perceived textures (notably the rocks and river in the foreground). Yellowed varnish throughout, most likely intentionally implemented by the artist for antiquated/rustic effect. Very faint hairline abrasions only detectable in raking light c.l. Minuscule paint chip top center edge due to contact with frame fastener.
