Fine period Hepplewhite, two part inlaid MA secretary, ca 1800, with sectional mirrored and glass door top above tambour doors, revealing drawers and pigeon holes, fold out writing surface above 2 dovetailed drawers and serpentine tambour doors on spade feet. A unique architectural inlay found on Eastern MA examples, along with other inlays in rich mahogany wood, 82”H x 41”W upper case. The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston has in their collection a secretary with very similar architectural inlays attributed to work shop of Isaac Vose Boston. Condition: old pleasant refinish, old brass, some shrinkage cracks
